Sheet metal work is a craft of sheet metal fabrication, used mainly in construction to create canals, gutters, chimneys and other elements.
Sheet metal is shaped by bending machines and various techniques: press forming for flashings and gutters, roll forming for downspouts, and stamping for accessories such as elbows and supports.
PRESS FOLDING
The press brake is one of the oldest and most traditional methods used to process metal materials. Introduced and patented in the second half of the 19th century, these machines have gone through several industrial revolutions, evolving into modern devices equipped with hydraulic systems and digital technologies. The basic structure remains the same: a punch approaching a die. However, it is the operating principles that have changed profoundly.

CALENDRATION
Calendering of metal sheets or composite materials is a cold plastic deformation process that allows the shape of metal sheets to be changed, giving them, in most cases, a curvature. Similar to rolling mills, the calender is a machine tool consisting of two or more rotating rolls, made of steel or cast iron, through which the material to be processed is passed.

PROFILING
Roll forming is a process of cold bending a sheet metal strip to produce profiles with different cross sections. This is done by passing the strip through a series of rolls arranged in several stages until the desired configuration is achieved. This technique is particularly suitable for the production of large quantities of profiles, significantly reducing processing time and costs. Roll forming makes it possible to produce complex metal profiles, custom profiles, and profiles conforming to specific technical drawings.
